Theo số liệu thống kê cho biết tỷ lệ chấn thương cột sống ở nước ta lên đến 50,000 trường hợp mỗi năm. Trong đó, các nguyên nhân chấn thương cột sống có thể đến từ những trường hợp sau đây:
– Tai nạn giao thông là một trong những trường hợp phổ biến và chiếm tỷ lệ cao nhất gây ra chấn thương cột sống.
– Tai nạn té ngã từ độ cao xuống đất hoặc va chạm vào vật cứng trong khi lao động làm việc hoặc sinh hoạt hằng ngày.
– Do tính chất công việc thường xuyên phải khuân vác vật nặng hoặc sai tư thế rất dễ gây ra chấn thương cột sống.
– Người lớn tuổi là đối tượng rất dễ gặp phải chấn thương này vì xương khớp đang trong giai đoạn lão hóa.
– Chấn thương thể thao trong lúc tập luyện hoặc khi tham gia các bộ môn thường xuyên tiếp xúc, tranh chấp và va chạm như bóng đá, võ thuật, bóng rổ, bóng bầu dục,…
Nguyên nhân vì đâu dẫn đến chấn thương cột sống?3. Nhận biết các triệu chứng của chấn thương cột sống
Chấn thương cột sống có nhiều triệu chứng khác nhau tùy thuộc vào vị trí, mức độ chấn thương cũng như sự chèn ép lên các dây thần kinh và tủy sống. Triệu chứng thường gặp nhất có thể nhắc đến là các cơn đau đi theo sự tê bì xuất hiện một các bất thường khi bạn vận động cũng như di chuyển. Nếu như vị trí tổn thương không gây ảnh hưởng đến các dây thần kinh tủy sống thì bệnh nhân chỉ có cảm giác đau ở vùng chấn thương. Ngược lại, như vùng chấn thương có sự chèn ép lên tủy sống thì có thể gây ảnh hưởng đến đốt sống cổ và thắt lưng với những biểu hiện cụ thể hơn:
– Chấn thương ở cột sống cổ: đau nhức vùng cổ, ngứa ran và cơ nâng đỡ vùng đầu cổ trở nên yếu, cứng, giới hạn tầm vận động cột sống cổ. Nó còn gây ra các biến chứng khác như mệt mỏi, chóng mặt, đau vùng đầu gây mất tập trung, khó thở, đau và tê như kim châm chích lan xuống vùng vai gáy hoặc cánh tay.
– Chấn thương cột sống thắt lưng: rối loạn cảm giác, rối loạn cơ tròn, yếu cơ hoặc tệ nhất có thể gây liệt hai chi dưới.
4. Sự nguy hiểm của chấn thương cột sống gây ra
Chấn thương cột sống là một căn bệnh không thể lơ là và xem thường bởi vì những tác hại mà mang lại vô cùng nguy hiểm và những biến chứng lâu dài ảnh hưởng đến bệnh nhân. Nếu bệnh nhân không được điều trị kịp thời và đúng cách thì có thể xuất hiện biến chứng nguy hiểm như:
4.1 Rối loạn cảm giác
Dây thần kinh trong tủy sống bị chấn thương sẽ làm giảm hoặc mất hoàn toàn cảm giác ở vùng da có liên quan.
4.2 Rối loạn thần kinh thực vật
Biến chứng này được xem là nguyên nhân gây ra sự hạ đường huyết, rối loạn điều nhiệt cơ thể, tăng tiết mồ hôi và viêm tắc tĩnh mạch.
4.3 Rối loạn khả năng vận động
Chấn thương cột sống ở vùng thắt lưng sẽ làm giảm đáng kể khả năng vận động của chi dưới. Nếu như nghiêm trọng có thể gây ra tình trạng bại liệt ở bệnh nhân.
5. Phương pháp điều trị chấn thương cột sống
Có rất nhiều phương pháp điều trị mang lại hiệu quả cao nếu như điều trị kịp thời và đúng cách:
5.1 Sử dụng các loại thuốc
Thuốc giảm đau thường được sử dụng cho các trường hợp bệnh nhân bị chấn thương cột sống nhưng bị tổn thương dây thần kinh. Tuy nhiên, nếu lạm dụng thuốc giảm đau một cách tùy tiện và kéo dài thì sẽ gây ra các tác dụng phụ cho sức khỏe chẳng hạn như: viêm loét dạ dày, xuất huyết bao tử, nguy cơ suy gan và thận, gây suy tim, cao huyết áp, nhồi máu cơ tim dẫn đến đột quỵ, gây biến chứng hoại tử.
5.2 Phương pháp phẫu thuật cột sống
Phương pháp phẫu thuật được áp dụng cho trường hợp tủy sống đã bị chèn ép nặng, nhằm giảm bớt sự di lệch của xương cột sống, đồng thời giải áp cấu trúc thần kinh và giúp làm vững cột sống. Tuy nhiên, hiện nay chưa có tiêu chuẩn thống nhất về thời gian cũng như cách thực hiện cho phương pháp này. Không những vậy, phẫu thuật cột sống có chi phí khá cao và cũng tiềm ẩn các rủi ro như nguy cơ đào thải với dị vật ghép, biến chứng sau phẫu thuật, nguy cơ nhiễm trùng… nên chỉ được thực hiện khi có chỉ định và theo dõi sát sao từ bác sĩ.
5.3 Vật lý trị liệu để phục hồi chức năng
Điều trị theo phương pháp vật lý trị liệu được sử dụng cho giai đoạn khi các chức năng sinh hoạt của bệnh nhân chưa bị giảm nhiều hoặc mất hẳn, còn có thể hồi phục được dù ít hay nhiều. Nó giúp hồi phục khả năng vận động, hỗ trợ bệnh nhân có thể sinh hoạt hằng ngày sớm trở lại bình thường. Đây cũng là phương pháp ngăn ngừa được các biến chứng như: cứng, lỏng lẻo khớp, teo và yếu cơ,…

When I originally commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on each time a comment is added I receive 4 emails with the exact same comment. Is there a means you are able to remove me from that service? Thanks a lot.
